Our Leader
Archie Strong, Jr. was born to Mr. Archie Strong, Sr. and Mrs. Veonia Kincade-Strong on December 20th, 1948. He is the 8th child of 11 children. He was baptized in 1958 by the Late Pastor Lee Compton in Safford, Arizona. Superintendent Strong accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was filled with the Holy Ghost on March 18th, 1979. He felt the call of God and answer with a resounding “YES LORD!” Superintendent Strong began preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ on September 18th, 1979, which he was later ordained under the leadership of the Late Bishop Felton King. Superintendent Strong served faithfully under the his brother, the Late Superintendent Arthur Strong, Sr. at Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Christ (Phoenix, AZ) for 19 years.
God said “It’s not good for man to be alone.” So he searched, found, and married his “good thing” and love of his life, Mira Lynn Robinson (Tucson, Arizona). On February 18th, 2024, they celebrated 40 years of marriage. Through the bringing together of this Holy union, it brought forth: Ursula, Deanna, Chris, and Lucretia, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
Superintendent Strong is currently the proud pastor of Pentecostal Deliverance Church of God in Christ (Peoria, Arizona). In 2006, Pastor Strong at the time was appointed as the Assistant Superintendent of the Shiloh District (Arizona Jurisdiction) by Superintendent David Calvin McNeal. In 2011, Superintendent Strong was re-appointed as “A-Sup” by the current Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Harvey T. Young, Sr. With the retirement of Superintendent McNeal, Shiloh was in need of leadership. In 2021, Assistant Superintendent Archie Strong, Jr. was selected and elevated to the office of Superintendent in the Historic Shiloh District!
